EMERGENCY RESPONSE INFORMATION

FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
This product is a strong acid. If dust or granules get into the eyes, mouth, or lungs where moisture dissolve the material, severe burning may occur.

Eyes: Flush with water for 15 minutes while holding eyelids open. Seek medical attention.

Skin: Flush with water while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Follow by washing with soap/water. Do not reuse clothing or shoes until cleaned. If irritation persists, get medical help.

Inhalation: Get medical attention if persistent irritation of nose and throat occurs.

Ingestion: If swallowed, give copious quantities of milk or water to dilute stomach contents.
DO NOT induce vomiting; Seek medical attention.

FIRE FIGHTING INFORMATION:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Sulfur dioxide, sulfur trioxide, formic acid, carbon monoxide, and ammonia gas may be released in a fire.

Extinguishing Media: water, “alcohol” foam, carbon dioxide.

SPILL/LEAK HANDLING INFORMATION:
Recover salvageable granular or Bullet product in bags or containers. Unsalvageable material may be shoveled/swept up for reuse or disposal. Avoid breathing dust. Use a dust mask and protective eye wear.

Dike and dissolve residue in water. Neutralize spills with "pH Neutralize", lime or soda ash.

HAZARD INFORMATION

HEALTH EFFECTS:
Eyes: Can cause eye burns. Skin: Causes skin irritation. Inhalation: Causes irritation of nose and throat. Ingestion: Toxic by ingestion (oral LD 50 rat; 1600 mg/kg) Ref. (1) Accident Prevention Section.

REACTIVITY INFORMATION:
Stability: Stable [ X ] Unstable [ ]

Incompatibility: Nitrates, nitrites, cyanides, sulfides, chlorates, chlorine, hypochlorous acid and sodium hypochlorite. At high temperatures, concentrated aqueous solution hydrolyzes rapidly generates heat/steam.

Hazardous Decomposition Products: Sulfur dioxide and sulfur trioxide may be produced during a fire in temperatures exceeding 600 degrees F. Some sulfuric acid and formic acid may result in small quantities if water is used in fire fighting. Carbon monoxide, ammonia, and nitrogen may also be released.

ACCIDENT PREVENTION INFORMATION

PERSONAL PROTECTION MEASURES: Granular/Bullets.
Keep containers tightly closed. Do not store with caustic materials (drain cleaners, ammonia, lime, soda ash) and other alkaline products.

Eye Protection: Some dust may occur in granular product and can cause severe burning to eyes. Wear goggles. Hand Protection: Rubber gloves.

Respiratory Protection: Dust mask should be worn where the possibility of inhalation of dust or mist exists during mixing with water or pouring into well. No other requirements for normal use.

PERSONAL PROTECTION MEASURES: When product is a mixed liquid.
When granular/Bullets become wet or dissolved, treat as any corrosive liquid. Wear protective clothing, eye mask, and gloves when handling.

If liquid spills, may cause acidic contamination, dike or controll liquid and treat with an alkaline material (lime, soda ash) or the “Unicid” pH Neutralize product. Use proper disposal per Local, State, or Fed. Regs.

FACILITY CONTROL MEASURES:
Ventilation: Adequate ventilation should be maintained at all times. Storage: Prevent absorption of moisture/possible caking Should be stored in a cool and dry place. Do not store with cyanides, sulfides, chlorine, hypochlorous acid or hypochorites. Containers of this material may be hazardous when emptied as may retain product residue. Note hazardous precautions outlined in this sheet.

Other Precautions: Minimize skin contact. Wash with soap and water before eating, drinking, smoking, or using toilet facilities.

NPCA/HMIS Rating: Health 2 Flammability 0
Reactivity 1 Special Protection E
